Congratulations to Julia Kline, our January Intern of the Month!
Julia became a Graphic Design YOakleyPR Intern in August 2015. Julia Kline is an independent graphic designer with her own small business called, Julia Kline Design. Since December 2015, she has worked directly with Yasheaka Oakley Owens, to layout and design numerous graphic projects for clients such as: Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County, The Cheyney Foundation, and The Cheyney C Club.
By using her graphic design skills, Julia has improved the online and print marketing capabilities of these nonprofits by producing: event postcards for direct mail, Facebook ads, Twitter cards, flyers, newspaper ad copy, and website sliders.
As our dedicated YOakleyPR Graphic Design Intern, here are some of the observations that Julia’s fellow interns have expressed about her:
“Julia has been so eager to learn from and assist her peers from the very beginning of her internship. She is very talented and quite the team player. She has always conducted herself in a professional and positive manner. I really admire her “go-getter” attitude.”
“Julia has always completed high quality assignments.”
“She works perfectly in the team and communicates on a regular basis.”
“Julia has consistently delivered on all of her assignments. Although graphic design is a tricky area, she takes criticism well and can quickly and effectively make changes in her work to address feedback from the client and her project manager.”
“Julia always tries to complete assignments on time and suggests few options so as to choose the best option.”
When we caught up with Julia, here is what she had to say about her internship:
“So far, this internship has really taught me to give back in anyway I can. Working with this team has been extremely beneficial to my professional future, especially since I am helping local charities in a way that is easy and fun for me! I’d also like to thank my amazing team for nominating me. It is such an honor and I hope to keep that level of satisfaction throughout the remainder of my internship.”
Congratulations Julia! Your efforts have paid off. You will be receiving a $25 Visa gift card in the mail, plus a little something extra to put on your resume. Keep up the great work ethic!
